Dig out your lucky bowling shoes! Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids Sake 2012 is taking place across the Island on Saturday March 3rd and Sunday, March 4th.

We have been busy planning a great 80’s themed event. There are tons of great new prizes and this year some lucky Islander will win an Exclusive, Escorted Trip for 2 to a Caribbean Destination with The Travel Store’s Exclusive Holiday Reunion 2013! It's going to be gnarly. I kid you not!!

This year, Big Brothers Big Sisters PEI would like to respond to a need in the community; half of the money raised in Tignish will be donated to the the Bobbi- Jo LeClair fund.

What is Bowl for Kids Sake?

In addition to our Dream Cottage Campaign, Bowl for Kids Sake is one of our major fundraisers: it raises more than 34% of our operating budget. Money raised from this event allows us to offer a variety of programs to Island children. Last year, our teams raised nearly $160,000. This year, our goal is to raise $175,000 so that we can serve more Island children. toy story

Money raised will help us:

recruit and screen volunteers
professionally support our matches
run programs like Kids N Kops
host events for our Big/Little matches
provide materials for In-School Mentors

The Event

This year, we are celebrating all thing 80’s! On Bowl for Kids Sake weekend, dress up in your flash 80’s threads and join your team mates for a celebration of your fundraising accomplishments.

The Lanes in your community will be transformed into giant 80’s-themed parties. Each team will receive

75 minutes of free bowling (or 60 minutes of free pool in Montague)
Subway Subs
Pepsi Products
Chance to win great prizes

Everyone who raises $100 will receive a t-shirt and a Dream Vacation ballot. For every extra $50 you raise, you’ll receive another ballot. And you can double your ballots by raising money on-line. There are great Raise & Win prizes, costume prizes, team prizes, and special prizes for Team Captains!

How to be a Team Captain

Ask 4 or 5 more people to join your team (2 or 3 in Montague)
Call us to book a time to bowl in your community
Get your team together & set a fundraising goal
Start fundraising
Help your teammates register for on-line fundraising
Dress up and join us at the Lanes of Fame
